Dave Kellogg has more than 20 years of leadership experience at high-growth companies.

His experience includes being CEO of MarkLogic, CMO of Business Objects, and member of the Aster Data Board of Directors. Dave also served in advisory roles to MongoDB developer 10gen, Hadapt, and Tableau Software.

Prior to joining Host Analytics as CEO, Dave served as senior vice president and general manager for Service Cloud at salesforce.com, overseeing one of the company’s fastest growing businesses. Previously, he spent six years as CEO at MarkLogic, growing the company from zero in revenues to an $80M run-rate. Before that, Dave led Marketing at Business Objects for nearly a decade as the company grew from 250 to over 4,500 people and from $30M to over $1B in annual revenues.

A recognized industry thought leader on topics ranging from venture capital and Silicon Valley culture to cloud, big data, and social enterprise technologies, Kellogg authored a highly regarded blog for five years and remains active on Twitter @Kellblog.

Dave has bachelor’s degrees in geophysics and applied mathematics from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from Saint Mary’s College of California. In his spare time, he advises entrepreneurs on new ventures, angel invests, gives periodic guest lectures at the Haas School of Business, watches his kids play volleyball and tennis, and has been known to stand waist deep in frigid rivers angling for brown, brook, and rainbow trout.

Ian Charles is a strategic CFO with broad financial experience and a passion for building businesses.

Ian has more than 15 years of experience in senior Finance roles. Prior to joining Host Analytics, Ian was CEO at IMC Capital partners where he led many successful software investments and advised technology startups in strategic development and financial analysis. Prior to that, Ian was CFO at RMG Networks, a digital media firm backed by Kleiner Perkins that grew rapidly and executed multiple acquisitions to establish a leadership position in Digital Out of Home media.

Before RMG Networks, Ian was a Founder and CFO at Rex & Co, SVP of Corporate Development for UNX, and Vice President and Equity Research Analyst for SG Cowen. He started his career as Director of Corporate Development for AOL Time Warner, leading new acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Ian comes to Host Analytics via The Brenner Group, and advises leading startups including Skava and Joyent. Ian holds an MBA in Finance from The University of San Francisco. He also competes in triathlons and enjoys cooking and sailing.

Robert Sutton is Professor of Management Science and Engineering and a Professor of Organizational Behavior (by courtesy) at Stanford. Sutton has been teaching classes on the psychology of business and management at Stanford since 1983. He is co-founder of the Center for Work, Technology and Organization, which he co-directed from 1996 to 2006. He is also co-founder of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program and the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (which everyone calls “the d school”).

Sutton studies innovation, leadership, the links between managerial knowledge and organization action, scaling excellence, and workplace dynamics. He has published over 100 articles and chapters on these topics in peer-reviewed journals and the popular press. Sutton’s books include Weird Ideas That Work: 11 ½ Practices for Promoting, Managing, and Sustaining Innovation, The Knowing-Doing Gap: How Smart Firms Turn Knowledge into Action (with Jeffrey Pfeffer), and Hard Facts, Dangerous Half-Truths, and Total Nonsense: Profiting from Evidence-Based Management (with Jeffrey Pfeffer). Steve Player serves as the program director for the Beyond Budgeting Round Table (BBRT) in North America and works with BBRT member companies to implement continuous planning processes. He has more than 30 years’ experience with improving performance management and implementing strategic planning processes. He is also the managing director of Beyond EPS Advisors, a business consulting firm, and founder of the Activity-Based Management Advanced Implementation Group (ABM SMART).

Steve is the coauthor of Future Ready: How to Master Business Forecasting and Beyond Performance Management as well as five other books. He interviews CFOs for the CFOThoughtLeaders .com website featuring leading edge CFOs with innovative finance and planning processes.

Rik Thorbecke has been Chief Financial Officer at Taulia Inc since January 2015. Thorbecke served as the Chief Financial Officer at Meltwater Group, Inc. Thorbecke led all finance, IT, legal, HR and corporate development at Meltwater. He was responsible for managing Meltwater’s central functions globally, including financial planning and analysis, accounting and controls, shared services, investor relations, tax, treasury, business systems, IT infrastructure, legal, HR policy and process, and acquisitions. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Plastic Logic Limited since September 2008. He served as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Strategy Officer and in other senior leadership roles at a range of Silicon Valley companies including Meltwater Group, Plastic Logic, Electronic Arts, Levi Strauss & Co. and Equinix. With more than 25 years of international finance experience, Thorbecke served as Vice President of Global Finance for Levi Strauss & Company. Previously, he served as Vice President of Global Finance and Audit at Electronic Arts and was a Partner in the Technology Practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers for more than 17 years. Other financial executive experiences include positions at Equinix. Thorbecke is also a registered Accountant in the Netherlands. He is a California Certified Public Accountant. He received a postgraduate degree in Accounting and Auditing as well as a MS/BS in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands. He also holds Bachelors degrees in Marketing and Economics, all from the University of Amsterdam.

Spencer came to SnapLogic with 20 years of finance and investment experience in Silicon Valley. Before joining SnapLogic, Spencer was a Managing Director at Capital Dynamics, a leading global asset management firm, where he led the US venture capital program and west coast operations. Before Capital Dynamics, Spencer co-founded and served in senior leadership roles at two venture backed start ups. Spencer served as a partner or senior investment professional at three leading venture capital firms — Bay Partners, Bowman Capital and Integral Capital Partners, which was an early backer of Informatica. He began his career as a technology investment banker at Morgan Stanley and Volpe, Welty & Co. Spencer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Science (Engineering) from Harvard University.

Zach Koekemoer brings over 20 years of experience driving financial and operational performance at high-growth technology companies to RichRelevance. He has held executive positions at technology innovators including iPlay, Industrial Origami, WageWorks, @Road and others. As Chief Financial Officer, he will oversee and lead all aspects of the company’s financial operations as RichRelevance continues to rapidly expand across all lines of business.

Before joining RichRelevance, Zach was the CFO at iPlay (acquired by iWin), a leading global innovator in the interactive games marketplace. While at iPlay, he oversaw the raising and completion of $22M in venture funding, as well as the integration of six acquisitions and the sale of the company’s Interactive/Connected TV business and its operations in China.

Prior to iPlay, Zach served as Chief Financial Officer at Industrial Origami, Vice President of Finance at WageWorks, and also held senior financial positions at @Road (acquired by Trimble Navigation) and Artisan Components (acquired by ARM Holdings).

Mr. LaVay has served as our vice president (VP), finance since November, 2014. From May 2012-October 2014, he served as VP, corporate controller. Prior to Ellie Mae, Mr. LaVay served as VP, corporate controller for Taleo Corporation and corporate controller and senior director of Finance for Scientific Learning Corporation. He has also served as corporate controller for Thomas Weisel Partners Group, Inc. and in various director and managerial positions for Salesforce.com, PeopleSoft, Inc. and Arthur Andersen LLP. He holds a Master of Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University and a BS in Industrial Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology. Mr. LaVay is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.

John Gschwendtner is the Director of Finance for AmeriPride Services, one of the largest textile rental and supply companies in North America that provides linen, uniforms, floor mats, restroom and cleaning products to nearly 150,000 customers every week. In his current role, John is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, strategic projects and M&A activities. Prior to AmeriPride, he worked for AGA Medical, St. Jude Medical and Carlson Companies in various finance positions. John has bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Accounting and a MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

Mark has more than 20 years of experience in Product Management, Technical Sales, Finance, and Consulting. Prior to joining Host Analytics, Mark was with Oracle where he led Product Management for the Oracle Business Intelligence Suite. Prior to Oracle, Mark held various roles in Product Management and Technical Sales with Hyperion Solutions and Arbor Software.

Prior to working in the software space, Mark was responsible for Finance, Planning, and Analysis for a Pepsi Bottling operation. Mark also held various positions with Andersen Consulting working with a variety of clients in the consumer packaged goods and manufacturing industries.

Mark has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from University of Missouri at Columbia. Mark lives in St. Louis with his wife, their two boys, and two rescued boxers.

Ron leads Host Analytics Services and Training functions.

Ron brings more than 15 years of EPM sales and implementation experience to Host Analytics. Prior to joining Host Analytics, Ron served as the CEO of RTC Consulting, a consulting firm specializing in implementing EPM solutions. During that time, Ron developed an implementation methodology that delivered nearly 100% customer satisfaction.

Before RTC, Ron served as vice president of customer services at Merador, a boutique Cognos/IBM Platinum services partner. Under his guidance, Merador grew consulting revenues by over 300% and was named to the San Francisco Business Times Fast 100 Hall of Fame four years in a row. He also spent six years at Comshare/Infor, a provider of EPM solutions, where he won numerous awards in presales.

Ron has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Georgia Southwestern State University. Ron lives in Tucson, Arizona with his wife and his two children.

Alison has more than 15 years of experience in fast-growing technology companies. Prior to joining the Host Analytics team, Alison was with Proofpoint for more than seven years where she helped grow the company from its pre-revenue stage to $100M in annual bookings and achieve a subsequent IPO. While at Proofpoint, Alison built out the Technical Sales and Professional Services teams, ran Worldwide Technical Support and managed a number of Sales functions, including account management, sales development, and sales operations.

Before Proofpoint, Alison was with AirFlash, a location-based services company for wireless devices, where she worked in Technical Sales and Professional Services delivering cloud-based applications to companies like Vodafone, Orange, and Verizon. Alison also worked at Netscape where she designed and implemented multimillion user email systems for projects such as mac.com and the Palm VII device.

Alison has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics from New York University’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences where she also played on the volleyball and softball teams. A native of Santa Cruz, Alison lives there with her husband and three young children and enjoys water sports, skiing, running, and biking. She is also active in her church where she plays the piano and sings.

Lance has 20 years of experience in technical and marketing roles in enterprise software and cloud computing at industry leaders and start-ups. Prior to joining Host Analytics, Lance led Marketing for Aria Systems, a leader in cloud billing and subscription management applications. His first executive marketing role was at Pentaho Corporation, where he joined the company as employee number 12 and helped grow it to more than 600 subscription customers. Prior to that, Lance served as vice president of product marketing for Business Objects, the BI market leader, as the company grew revenues from $460 million to well over $1 billion prior to its acquisition by SAP. Earlier in his career, Lance held technical, Product Management, and Marketing roles at industry leaders, including Siebel Systems, Hyperion Solutions, and Oracle Corp.

Lance holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering with a minor in computer science from The University of California at Berkeley. Lance grew up in the Bay Area and enjoys playing music, hiking, swimming, and spending time with his wife and daughters.

Gary Hanna leads a world-class sales organization responsible for continually adding to the list of successful Host Analytics customers.Over the last two decades, Gary has lent his considerable experience to companies both large and small, consistently achieving rapid company growth. Prior to joining Host Analytics, he built sales organizations for Coupa Software, Rearden Commerce, and Space-Time Insight. Gary spent a combined ten years in senior sales leadership roles at both Salesforce.com and Siebel Systems.In the early 1990s, Gary was a sales leader at Oracle Corporation, as the company grew from less than $200 million to more than $1 billion in annual revenues.

Gary earned a bachelor's degree, with high honors, from Abilene Christian University. He is married and has four children. Gary practices yoga and is a vegan. He volunteers at the Glide Free Meals Program in San Francisco. Gary is from the South, and while he lives in the Bay Area, he claims New Orleans as his home.

As the Director, Product Management, Bryan is responsible for helping guide the direction of Host Analytics’ product vision. He has over 15 years of EPM software development experience leading teams to continue to grow mature offerings as well as delivering innovative products to the market. Prior to Host Analytics, Bryan started his career as a public accountant with the Big 6 gaining insight into the challenges of accessing data for companies of all stripes. Spurred by his passion for technology he joined Hyperion Solutions starting out in Professional Services and is career progressed to Product Development. Bryan is passionate about learning, mentoring, and evangelizing the vision of EPM. When he is not strapped to his desk, he enjoys getting into the mountains for hiking, biking, and skiing all while trying to keep up with his two kids. He is also a rabid fan of any Boston College sport.
